Meet the guest

Laureline Simon is the Co-Founder and Director of One Resilient Earth, an international non-profit organization that helps individuals and communities prepare for and respond to the climate and environmental crises. Laureline has worked on climate change mitigation and adaptation at the international level since 2006 from supporting women-led reconstruction projects in villages with the NGO SEWA in India, working on large climate change mitigation and conservation projects with the French Development Agency to leading a research program on adaptation to climate change in sub-Saharan Africa. At the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat, she helped set up the Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples’ platform, a task force on population displacements related to climate change, and coordinated Resilience Frontiers, a collective intelligence process on long-term resilience. Laureline has an MS in in International Affairs and Development Studies from Sciences Po.

One Resilient Earth weaves together art, science, ancient wisdom and new technologies to regenerate communities and improve resilience through efforts such as the Climate Workers Circle, a safe virtual space for those working on climate change, Tero, a magazine focused on bringing together artists, scientists and community members and other collaborative work such as a lecture series with the Forum Internationale Wissenschaft exploring the themes of “Ecology and the Metamorphosis of Modern Society.
