Meet the guest

Christina was born in Yonkers, New York where her Dad's family operated a commercial greenhouse and florist. She was also lucky enough to have a big backyard with trees to climb and places to run around. All her life, she was drawn to science and nature. Christina was a loyal reader of Ranger Rick Magazine, and spent a lot of time at her godparents’ home in Long Island playing with starfish and toads, and learning to be respectful of other living things. Her college and adult life got complicated and took her away from her studies in environmental science; Christina somehow ended up working in a field that scared her: chemistry. However, Christina earned her Masters in Education from Pace University, and currently teaches high school chemistry in Yonkers. She lives in West Harrison, New York where she also runs her pollinator conservation project.
